Ntungamo Chairperson Urges Locals to Champion Disease Prevention

Ntungamo District Chairperson Samuel Muchunguzi Rwakigooba has urged residents to actively support government efforts in promoting disease prevention and public health.
Speaking on Wednesday at the launch of construction works for a five-stance lined latrine at Rujumo Trading Centre in Kagarama Town Council, valued at 27 million shillings, Muchunguzi emphasized the importance of sanitation in preventing hygiene-related diseases. He noted that a healthy population is key to productivity and development.
Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Rosemary Atuhaire echoed his sentiments, highlighting the government's significant investment in health infrastructure. She urged residents to safeguard and monitor such projects to ensure accountability and sustainability.
Kagarama Town Council Chairperson Stephen Ruhemba commended the district leadership for its continued support and pledged to work closely with locals to ensure value for money in project implementation.
The event was also attended by District Vice Chairperson Asuman Kigongo, Secretary for Finance Elijah Atuhaire, and other local leaders.
