Ntungamo – Members of district service commissions across the country have been called upon to uphold transparency and integrity in their work to ensure the recruitment of competent public servants.
The appeal was made by Ntungamo Chief Administrative Officer, Fedelis Kiiza, while presiding over the swearing-in of Rev. Canon Joash Twinomujuni, who will represent persons with disabilities on the commission.

Ntungamo will on the 7th of December 2018 hold celebrations to mark the World aids day.
The celeberations for the district will be hosted by Ntungamo municipal council and will include activities such as HIV/AIDS testing and counseling, cervical cancer screening among others.
This year’s theme for World AIDS Day, which will be marking its 30th anniversary on 1 December, will be “Know your status”.
Significant progress has been made in the AIDS response since 1988, and today three in four people living with HIV know their status.
Ntungamo District will tomorrow 20th July 2018 hold belated celebrations for the day of the African child.
The celebrations will be held under the theme ‘’Leave no child behind for Africa’s development’’ at Kyamate playground in Ntungamo Municipality
The Day of the African Child has been celebrated on June 16 every year since 1991, when it was first initiated by the OAU Organization of African Unity.
It honors those who participated in the Soweto Uprising in 1976 on that day.
On the 11th of July 2018 the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries kicked off training of trainers in formation and strengthening of farmer organizations with districts under the Agriculture Cluster Development Project.
The activities were in Ntungamo district where the Trainers will be awarded certificates and linked to the farmers to resume with under the same project.
The trainings were opened by the project team that was welcomed and joined by the LC5 Chairman Mr. Singahache Denis on behalf of the area leadership.
